Two plane model kits in one box. From July 10th until October 31st of 1940, the world saw the largest military campaign to be fought entirley by aircraft to date. The German Luftwaffe?s primary objection was to gain air superiority over England as well as target and destroy British RAF airfields, infrastructure, coastal shipping convoys and shipping centers and later political targets using terror bombing tactics. In what was the largest aerial bombing campaign to date, the British were able to overcome the Luftwaffe and had set an imortant milestone in World War Two history, defeating the German Luftwaffe in a crucial turning point in the war. Two aircraft from both sides played a part in this highly documented battle, The British Spitfire Mk.I and the Luftwaffe Bf109E. Both advanced fighters for the day and considered by many to be evenly match opponents. Highly detailed model kit includes waterslide decals and illustrated instructions.
